Hello,

I have re-built my pc, and installed xp home. For some
reason I cannot install Service Pack 1, the installatin
begins then just stops(closes). In the past have re-
installed xp a number of times and applied SP1 without
this problem.

It was suggested that this was occuring because I was
running an illegal copy of xp. This is not the case
I actually own XP , I'm NOT running a copy.

Is there a limit to how many times a version of XP can be
activated?

Can anyone please shed some light.

Sincerly Kev

Don't mean to be pedantic - but you don't own XP - Microsoft does. You
merely own a licence to use it which, if they so desired, MS could revoke at
any time.
