Can't install PP viewer

I have have downloaded PP viewer for XP Home but it won't install.
It goes thru the motions of installing and says it has installed and tells
me it will be on the start menu but it's not there. Anybody have help for me.

Dan,

PowerPointViewer 2003 executable is here:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\PowerPoint Viewer\pptview.exe"

PowerPoint Viewer 2007:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\pptview.exe"

See if you're able to run the file directly from Start/Run dialog.
