I have a Fujitsu hard drive.
It was playing up.
I got the Fujitsu erase utility and wiped the hard drive.
I've tested the drive using the Fujitsu testing program - and all is
fine.

I try to install the OS (Windows 2000) and it complains about there
being no Master Boot Record.

How do I get the Master Boot Record back?

Thanks.

During the early part of the installation, the Master Boot Record is written
by the partitioning/formatting utility. Make sure the installation is seeing
the hard drive and formats the drive.

The easiest way is to set up the drive with the disk manager software from
Fujitsu. It is a free download.

With FDISK /MBR
commonly found on an install disk from win95/98
