Can't install new programs

After initially setting up my new ThinkPat T60p at home I took it into the
office and joined it to the domain at my office. After this I accidentally
deleted my original user account so I now log in under the office domain even
when I am not at the office.

This is a problem when trying to install new programs - I get a message
saying "Requested operation requires elevation". Is there anything I can do
about this?

Well, in case it helps anyone, I solved my problem. I inserted a Vista
install disk intending to re-install Windows Vista. One of the choices I saw
was to repair the existing installation.

In a rare instance of sanity I selected that option and aftre a short while
I was back to normal. I still get asked for permission to install stuff but
this time I only need to click on "Continue" to proceed - as before. One of
my bluetooth mouse drivers must have been removed because it reinstalled when
I next plugged in the mouse so I guess it must have set the system back to
some restore point.

Speaking of bluetooth mice, I bought a new MicroSoft Wireless Presenter
Mouse 8000, which uses bluetooth technology but it only connects to the PC
via a dongle that ships with it and won't connect to the ThinkPad's
bluetooth. Compared to this the Apple Bluetooth mouse was so elegant....
