Can't install Internet Explorer 6

I am able to download Internet Explorer 6 from Microsoft
but I am unable to install it because it says it "has not
passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatability
with Windows XP. I am running Windows XP. I have no
idea what to do. If anyone has any suggestions at all,
they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for any
assistance you can offer.

Internet Explorer 6 is included in Windows XP. Why are you trying to
download and install it?

If you ignore the message, wil lit install? I had same message when new
version came out but installed it anyway.
