Cant install games

I recently bought a new computer and installed WinXp, when i try to install games it loads to middle and stops, computer starts "not responding", how can I fix this?
 
Is it a legal install of XP and are you trying to install the game from a retail CD/DVD of the game ?

Yes, I have illegal windows, but they should work fine, like normal-one's?
