Can't install at all..!!!

I run the WindowsDefender.msi, then it trys open the notepad. Don't know
why!!? After that, it tilts and do nothing. Only what to do is shutdown it.
Anyone, HELP!!

Just out of interest. What version of Windows are you using?
Are you installing it under Windows 9x/ME, operatings systems *not*
supported by MSAS?

I'm using Win XP Pro (SP2). I found the problem: *.msi files were not
registered at ALL, so now I have registered them and I could run the
setup-file :) But now it's sayd that serial number of Windows is not valid :/
so weard I think...??
Still I can update my Windows anyway. Any ideas?
