Can't insert photo

I am using Pub 2002. This morning I scanned some pictures(.jpegs) for a doc
that I'm creating. I was able to insert those scanned photos into a
Publisher, no problem. THen, I tried to insert photos(more .jpegs) from a
folder on my computer, but those photos didn't insert. I only get a very
small box with a red X in it. These photos are very high res. I can't insert
any of them.

The odd thing is that I can insert the photos into Word. I tried opening
the photos in MS picture manager, and then cutting and pasting into
publisher, but that doesn't work either. I get the same small, small box
with the red X in it.

I found my video driver and updated it. I can't think of anything else to
do. Any thoughts?

1) Make sure you actually have a web created and opened in FrontPage.
2) File | Import the pictures into a folder (such as images) in your open
web.
3) Then, insert the image on a page from the folder the images was imported
into, and save.

....and you don't need high res. for the web - resize and optimize them
before you import them into FP (don't use FP for this)

Are you trying to insert the pictures into Publisher or FrontPage? If
Publisher, try asking in a Publisher forum or newsgroup. One question
to ask - are the photo's that don't work CMYK format, and does Publisher
care about this? Websites require .jpg images to be RGB format, not
CMYK.
