Can't Import Video From WinMedia Center Recording

I'm trying to edit a TV show down to one segment of it that I want to save,
but I can't download the file into WMM.

I don't see an "extension" under "Type" in the folder I used to save the TV
show in ... it only says "Microsoft Recorded TV Show".

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
 
START>MY COMPUTER>TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW

Remove the check beside "hide extensions for known file types".
