I'm using PowerPoint 2004 on an iBook G4 (2005) with Mac OS X 10.4.11,
and the iBook is only capable of mirroring the laptop's LCD to another
monitor. I need to connect the iBook to a projector for a
presentation, and I'm testing it out by connecting to a second monitor.
Since the 2nd monitor is just a mirror of the laptop's LCD, my
presenter's notes are showing up on the 2nd monitor, too. Is there
anyway to have the presenter's notes only show on the laptop's LCD?
I'm also considering running "Screen Spanning Doctor" which modifies
the firmware to enable using the 2nd monitor as an extension of the
LCD. (Apple thoughtfully disabled that feature on the iBooks.) Will
that make any difference? That is, would that allow me to have the
presentation appear on the LCD with the notes, and appear on the 2nd
display without the notes?
