I created some narrative clips? Why can't I hear them in Viewer? I hear
them in the PowerPoint program itself (where the presentation was created)
Thanks for any help.

I'm viewing the presentation on another PC. Is it possible the sound card
doesn't recognize the format? They were saved as a .wav

Is it possible that you hve linked to the sound files? (and they are not
present on the other computer)

Did that answer the question / help?

Maybe I'll just re-create the narratives and try to save in a different
format. Frustrating for sure!

Can hear all the audio on the computer where it was created. The Viewer is
on another PC and I hear SOME of the audio clips, but not all. That's what
is confusing.

Look in Tools, Options, the General tab.
What's the value in "Link sounds with file size ..."?

By default it's 100kb, meaning that any WAV file under that size will be embedded in
the PPT file, any WAV over that size will be linked.

That could explain why you hear some sounds and not others.

Try setting a much higher value (5000) then delete and reinsert the sounds that
won't play.

Thank you SO much for the help. I found my answer in your link below. It
addressed the same issue that Steve mentioned in his reply. I increased the
settings, plus included a separate folder on the CD with the audio clips (so
the presentation would have something to "point to". I can now hear ALL the
audio clips. Thank you again.
