can't go to web pages not previously visited

XP home edition - IE 6 - all of the sudden there are web pages I can't
get to - I get the DNS error that this page can't be found. I have
disabled all firewalls and spyware and have even done a HSOT look up in
system32 and renamed it to HOST.old. as well as done the DOS command
flsuhdns. still I can'ta ccess certain web pages? advice?

Have you installed SP2? If so, try this: Start > Run and type in

cmd

there type in this

netsh winsock reset

and restart Windows.
