Can't go to secure site

After visiting I noticed that some things changed. Can't
delete History, etc. Since then I've not been able to go
to my credit card company online for status. It says my
there site does not support my browser and I need to load
IE 4.0 or later. However, I am running IE 6.0 with 128
encryption. I also attempted to down load the latest IE
6.0 service pack (figured this would overwrite the
problem), but it says I already have a later version
installed and stops.

After visiting the newsgroup? Have you changed anything
else? Also, try using Windows Update to see if it
recommends the Service Pack for IE.

After I visited some site a pop up came up then everytime
I closed it another popped up until I just had to Crtl
Alt Del to kill IE.

I hadn't made any changes.

Windows update didn't recommend the change.
