Can't get URL on r-click on favorites

In Win98 I used to be able to r-click on a favorite link and get the URL
of the webpage. In XP (Pro) I don't get this.
How do I get the link without opening the page?

right-click the favorite and select properties.
you can then right-click to copy the url...paste where
desired.
 
Use the "favorites" > "organize" feature.
Find/pick desired site.
See URL in left side of organize window.
This listing however you can not edit.

That means I have to open the browser to do that and then I *still*
can't edit the link. I need to be able to edit the link. Thanks for the
input.
 
Why not write a .HTML file with your hyperlinks in that?
