Can't get to email or chat support...

I purchased an HP notebook computer that has Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit)
installed on it.

I ran into a problem and was attempting to get into email or chat support on
Microsoft's site. At first, I mistakenly chose just normal Windows Vista
Ultimate, and entered my product ID. The site responded by telling me that
the ID is a 64-bit ID, so I went back and chose Ultimate 64-bit, and entered
my PID, and the system tells me that it's not a valid ID.

Is anyone else having this problem?
 
You bought a pc with Vista preloaded on it from HP. That is an OEM edition
of Vista, and as such does not qualify for support from Microsoft, hence the
PID not being 'valid'. The OEM (HP) is responsible for providing support.
