can't get to certain web sites

While I can access 90% of the web sites that I go to,
some NEVER will load. I thought that it might have
something to do with shockwave (just thought I'd give it
a shot), so I tried to download it. I can't get to the
page. Ever. (The page(s) appear to start to load and hang
up until the "white page" shows up) My daughter wanted to
look up "K-swiss," it will never load either. I tried
hooking up another computer to my cable; no problem. I
tried to use another web browser (netscape) an it won't
work either.

This has been a mystery to me for some time, I've
downloaded every update that I can find to no avail.

Thanks for any help.

Try going to microsoft.com,in search type:macromedia
You should get directed to the home page.
