Windows Vista cant get service pack 2

I have service pack 1 on my Dell PC with vista home basic and IE7
I have tried many times to update to service pack 2 so I can get IE9
It will not update to service pack 2 ,any suggestions?

Try disabling your Anti virus software, and then try the install again.

Evan is correct about the AV. Did that do the trick?
By the by, Ccleaner is still a good FREE product. If you don't have it recommend you get it.

Try manually downloading Vista SP2 (Note whether 32 Bit or 64 Bit before choosing the download) then install it from your hard drive. You can delete the file after the installation.
