when i load my computer i am prompted to either load
windows xp po or windows 98 and i also cannot access d:
because it is fat32 what is my problem.

You have a dual boot setup...
XP can read either NTFS or FAT32 so the problem with D: is
not due to format, you'll need to give more details to get
some help...

the most likely problem is that you have instaled windows
xp over windows 98 if this is the case what you should do
is reinstal xp but this time boot from cd rom u will need
to go in the bios and select the first boot device to be
the cd rom (if its not already set) put the cd in boot
your pc and as you boot the cd rom will boot and go into
the setup. soonm as you get in delete the partition on the
C drive then continue to load windows a quick format is
sufficient just before you set up windows it will prompt
you about it.
load windows and thats you done then. as for your D drive
not reading did u add the drive after u instaled xp? i
have had that problem before but u can use something like
partition magic and see what you can do with it but i also
have a second hard drive on my pc on windows xp pro and
its fat 32 and it reads no problem.

hope this helps any more info email me

Hello

Just a note, before going through that process it's a good idea
to back up your IMPORTANT DATA if you have any ok, and
then go for it. Another option would be to just maybe consider
doing a clean install
