I'm using XP and Explorer. When I open Explorer, my selected start page does
not come up. I get a "your computer is infected" screen with instructions to
click to fix. This start up page has an www.yoursystemupdate.com address, not
at all what is selected under internet tools. I have tried several scanners
and cleaners. They ocassionally find something, usually not, but all the
while they are saying there are no problems, some sort of program is
constantly being loaded. I also have new tool tray entries that are
constantly prompting me to click on them in order to fix my computer. All of
these pages, both the start up page and the pop ups, appear as if they are
geniune Microsoft pages but I don't think so. I have not clicked on any of
them. I looked at several previous messages and I didn't see symptoms such as
mine. How do I go about removing this?
