can't get outlook to open / configure settings for dsl

I can't seem to get outlook open after a reinstallation w/ disc. Had it open earlier, but could not configure it as the default mail system. outlook expresss still working fine.
 
Are you receiving any errors? Which version of Outlook are you using?

Off the top of my head, you could have a corrupte .pst file or profile. Try to rename your current .pst file
(x.pst to old.pst) and try to open Outlook. If you are using profiles, then remove your current profile and
create a new profile with a personal folders file.
