What program/file? What's the exact text of the error message? Have you run
task manager to see whether something is still open in the background when
you think it's closed?

it is called moparscape its a game the text is canoot open as another program
is using and my task manager wont come up for some reason

That can't be the exact text of the error message. Are you using the Welcome
screen and fast user switching? If so, make sure nobody else is logged in
and try again.

Then your computer has far larger problems. Check your event logs for
errors, to begin with.

Have you just downloaded this?
If so i would update the Antivirus and do a full system scan. Every one is
offering a copy of this for free so it would not supprise me that once you
installed it you set a little virus off in your PC. Try booting in safe mode
and take a good look at your system.

i've had this for ages its just started playing up and i scanned my computer
its clean i have norton anti virus 2006

Try booting into Safe Mode to see if that makes a difference. If it does
some startup/logon program/process is causing the problem and you can
troubleshoot that via selective startup using msconfig. If that does not
help try uninstalling and then installing the program again but first backup
any data or configuration files for the application so that they are not
accidentally deleted. Also open Event Viewer to see if any warning/error
messages are shown that correspond time wise to the problem. If so those
events may help in solving the problem.
