Instead of my home page I keep getting MS update. I d/l SP3 and several
optional items, but IE6 keeps going to MS update instead of my home page. How
do I handle this? Thanks.

Hi sy,

Do you complete the Update? This should flag IE not revisit the site until
the next update is available.

But there is an options setting.

Tools/Internet Options - Advanced tab - Automatically check for Internet
Explorer Updates.

I did the downloads. I also unchecked the Automatically check for Internet
Explorer Updates. But I still get the MS Update instead of my regular home
page. In Internet Options it shows my home page. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

This is strange. Ok. Now during the last update did it prompt you to
re-start the computer? If it did it should keep on pestering you until you
do.

It is not unusual that apon re-boot it will start IE and navigate back to
the update site to get more updates that have to be added in sequence.

Perhaps this is what is happening, so run the windows update site again!

If all else fails create a new link on your desktop for ie that will open at
your home page.

Command=iexplore.exe http://www.server.com/MyHomePage.htm
