Can't get MSWord to recognize Outlook as Default Mail Client

When I go to MS Word to create labels from my Outlook Contacts, it tells me
to make Outlook my default mail client. I do that thru options/general/etc.,
but it still doesn't recognize it and won't pull up contacts list for
importing into labels.
 
You set your default mail program in Control Panel > Internet Options...
If you want to merge to Outlook Contracts, you should do your merge from
Outlook.
