Can't get MM2 to complete download

The new download of MM2 loaded to a file called "mm20enu".
I can't get this to open. I checked the preferenced of
this file and it does not give me the opportunity to
select Windows XP yet the program will not open unless I
open it in XP. I do have XP on the machine. Help please.
