Wouldn't it be more appropriate to get IE 6 to work before getting into IE 7
beta at that?

If /you're/ having a problem with IE6 SP1, yes, get that straightened out
before trying IE7 B2.

The problem is that Internet Explorer 6.0 is still sending many error
reports to Microsoft on a Windows XP system and has to shut down. All
programs being up-dated. If one is too look at this newsgroup, I'm not the
only one having problems.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
