Everytime I try and install Sim's 2 E:AutoRun\AutoRun.bmp comes up. I know
that the disc is not bad because I almost had it installed on my laptop but
that crashed and when I open my computer it shows the icon. Can someone
please help me.. PLEASE

Hi Bavis,

You posted that "E:AutoRun\AutoRun.bmp comes up."
Most likely, it is trying to open the .bmp for you to view.
Are you able to view ordinary .bmp files on your system?

Also,
When I have been trying to run it recently E:\SUPPORT\TheSims2_Code.exe% is
not a Win 32 Application. What does this mean?
Hi Jimmy,

Hi Bavis,

To view ordinary image files like .jpg's, .bmp's etc.,
you either double-click the file, or you right-click the
file and select the option to Open With ... and then select
your favorite image viewer, paint, or Internet Explorer.

Sounds like the data is getting corrupted on its trip, make sure the disc is
as clean as possible.

And then a couple of things to try; boot the machine in safe mode, you can
do this by starting the machine up, and just before the Windows screen would
usually appear press F8 a few times. A menu should pop up asking what you
want to do. If you choose 'safe mode' the computer will load up the bare
minimum and help rule out any conflicting software on the machine. Try the
disc again and see if it gets stuck with these win32 / cannon open error
messages. If this works (it may not install all the way), then its probably
a software conflict.

Try running a lens cleaner through the drive and see if that will sort it
out.

If neither of those work, then its a fare bet the drive is probably faulty.

Post back and we'll try and troubleshoot depending on the results.
