This seems to be a major weak piont in vista. I'll tell exactly what happens.
- First, I begin to boot from the DVD
- Second, it tells me "Windows is loading files" and a white bar goes from
left to right
- Third, I get "Windows Copyright 2006" and a scroll bar
- Fourth, the first color window ask's about language/keyboard layout
- Fifth, the next color window gives me three choses
Install Now->
What to know before installing Windows Vista
System recovery options
- Sixth, after selecting "Install now->" I recieve a pop up titled "Windows
Setup" that reads " Setup could not get information aboutthe disks on your
computer"
- If you click OK it takes back to "Install now->" Window.

That is as far as I can get. I've had a floppy and a USB drive inserted that
have the drivers on them. What am I missing?

4400+
2gb DDR 500
2x250gb SE16
DFI NF4U
7800gt
XP Pro(x86) w/ 3 equal partitions <-willing to wip that clean

Look for the "Load Drivers" button on one of the early screens. The old F6
method of alerting the installer that you want to provide drivers is gone.

The "Load Drivers" option isn't presented with in any window I have access
too during initial install. And I will also mention that I havn't been give'n
the option to enter a PID ether.

Well, I found a work around. Install another single hard drive...haha.
Funny? Not really. Now theres a new problem. I get one window farther where
I'm to put in PID. After I put in one of the three PID's I recieved in
e-mails from Microsoft, I get "Can not read Windows image" each time. I've
also tried burning a new disk. Did I get three bad PID's or is this something
else? Boy, Vista really has quite a number of bugs still in it. No wounder
they keep pushing it back! GET TO WORK all you over payed MS Code Heads!

The error message has nothing to do with the product key. It sounds like a
bad download or burn. Try burning at a different speed. Some report slow
speed works best but others have reported that a faster speed works better
for them.
