Can't Get Email with OL2000 and XP Pro

For an unkown reason (obviously) I can't connect to my mailservers with my XP Pro machine.

I get the following error:

Unable to connect to the server. (Account: 'mail.sympatico.ca', POP3 Server: 'pop1.sympatico.ca', Error Number: 0x8000ccc0e).

Now.. I was conencted through a router (Linksys), but I know that's not it because when I connect my laptop on the same network I can get my mail no problem. I have also tried: Connecting the XP box directly through the DSL Modem, Using a different mail program (Eudora).

I thought it was the router until my 2000 box found the server just fine.

Right now I still have the original Nortel Modem.. which apparently Sympatico doesn't support. I also don't think they support XP Pro.. and I know they don't support Outlook 2000..

Sympatico doesn't support anything I use.. and since everything works fine on my Laptop (W2K) .. it can't be that.
