Cant get e-mail from some accounts in Outlook 2003

Hi you all
Near to shoot myself in the head and running away..
Since 3 days ago I'm having a strange problem with Outlook 2003
Usualy my laptop as Outlook in Offline and I do a manual send and receive in all my accounts. In some of them it just does everything allright. On others it goes for retrieve and it stays there for ages... at 33%
Some other times it starts downloading the messages but in "b" instead of "kb". That said, it stays there until time out

Other strange thing: Yesterday I've tried to do this, went to one of the problematic accounts trough webmail and deleted all the mail in the inbox. Logged out. Open Outlook and did a send/receive. Everything's fine. Send/Receive completed. No messages. From outlook I've sent (from another account) a message to the problematic one. Another send/receive. Everything's fine. Tried again, from another account by webmail (at lycos) and everything's fine. Tried again from Outlook and there we go again:Send and receive for ever..

Any clue about it?
 
Anyone? This is becaming a case of insanity..
Please..

By the way, the laptor where this problem is hapenning is connected trough an ad-hoc wireless network to my main machine where Outlook 2003 works in everything...

I have a similar problem, seen on 3 of my accounts. The transfer slows to a
crawl and eventually errs.
I move the "BAD" messages to another folder on the server and Outlook
operation returns to normal.
I can re create the error condition by moving the "BAD" message back to the
server Inbox.
I can use a web based service to access the server and see the "BAD"
message.
I think Outlook hangs on an unexpected character sequence in the "BAD"
message.
I used "Ethereal" to capture the raw packets, looks ok to me.
I now have 5 examples of these "BAD" messages which cause this condition in
Outlook.
New ones seem to come at random. They have all been spam, not all from the
same IP.
I wonder if this is a "FEATURE" of some homespun spam generating software.
