Can't FTP

Anyone have any ideas why I can't FTP. I checked browser
setting and they appear okay.

What happens when you use the command-line ftp.exe program (instead of
trying to use the browser)? What happens when you temporarily disable
the firewall software? What does "can't FTP" really mean? You cannot
find the program to do FTP, you get an error message that you decided
not to reveal to us, you cannot reach the FTP server, WHAT?
 
Same problem where, no real solution!
I have a workaround though, I open the
FTP URL in a new window, clear the
file name portion, and ENTER, to
browse the folder for the file, then I can
download the file.

This looks like an IE problem to me, because
I can use FTP normally from Netscape, on the same
computer - probably something MS messed
up on one of their security updates.
