I am having problems locating my Win XP professionl
edition PC from my Win 2000 PC.

I can see it in the coputers near me, but I can't get
into it.

I get the error: \\XPBOX is not accessible. The network
path was not found.

I can see the 2000 fine from the XP.

My configuration is cable modem -> router -> then my
various PCs connect into the router.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers. Got File- and printersharing loaded?

I'm having kind of similar problems...

My laptop is running W2000 professional . My PC is running
XP Home. I can access my PC from my laptop via a wireless
link but it's incredibly slow. My PC cannot access my
laptop. All file share type stuff is enabled.

In XP network set up wizard, it refers to all flavours of
Windows apart from W2000. Is there an issue networking
between X2000 & XP ?
