Appologies to those who have already read this. I posted about a month back
with no joy, and just hope bringing it to the top of the list will find an
answer.
Ive added a Netgear MA111 USB wireless adapter to my XPe system. Built a
component for it using by importing the INF on the supplied driver CD. Added
it, the appropriate USB controller and USB root hub to my build (for some
reason Wireless session 0 was already there).
It comes up OK, and through a customised interface I can get at the
connection properties. It is enabled, 'working properly', has the static IP
that I give it through a script, but there are no networks listed (yes I
have checked that 1 is available). As I take the adapter from disabled to
enabled the LED on the unit goes from off to flashing (like it is looking
for a network). I can see the wireless networks tab in the properties page,
and click refresh. No crashes or unusual behaviour, but the list of
available networks remains empty.
The system has a dual boot to W98, where it works fine - so I know that the
hardware is alright, and I can see the access point.
Is there something else that is needed?
TIA
