Hi, I'm using WinXP Pro

Recently when I plugin my thumb drive into the USB slot, system is able to
detect the drive, but when I go to My Computer I can't find any removeable
drive.

Is there any solution to it? Thanks

Try pressing F5 to refresh the window. It works for me and the drive shows up after the refresh.

What thumb drive is it exactly?
Manufacturer / Model

When you plug it in, does it show up in Device Manager?
(Start > Run... > devmgmt.msc)
Under these categories -
+ Disk drives
+ Universal Serial Bus controllers

If so, what is the status of the thumb drive?

My own SanDisk CRUZER mini 256 MB shows up as:

- Disk drives
Generic STORAGE DEVICE USB Device

- Universal Serial Bus controllers
USB Mass Storage Device
