Can't find temp file to clear hard drive space

I changed the temp file location and while I was capturing video from my
camcorder, there was a glitch with the tape, so I did not save the resultant
file when I was prompted to.

Now I have about 14G of space that is being 'held' by the temp file, even
though there is no file in that folder I had changed the temp directory to
(as a matter of face, I deleted the folder and then emptied trash).

Any ideas??

Use the program to delete the project, and it will dump the hidden temp file.
Bring up MovieMaker or whatever you used to capture, find the unfinished
project, and delete it.

I reported the same thing here a couple of weeks ago. You can instruct WMM
where to store the temporary files before you start an exporting project,
then you'll know just where to look for them, if things get canceled before
finishing. However, you can flush out these unwanted files by doing this:
Go to My Computer and click on Tools as the top of the page and go down to
Folders. Then uncheck the box that will keep certain folders hidden. Then,
on My Computer, click on the logo for your HDD, such as "Local Drive (C:).
Then go up to Documents and Settings, then to Local Settings, then to Owner,
then to Temp. In Temp, there may be hundreds of little boxes that represent
each entry. Look near the top and run your cursor over them, to reveal their
sizes and dates. This should allow you to identify and delete them.
