I have a new domain with two domain controllers. There are 10 share
printers on one of the controllers. When I search the directory fo
these printers using the "Entire Directory" option it returns n
objects. If I use the drop down list and specify the domain name (ie
mydomain) the printers appear instantly.
This behavior does not occur on a seperate small domain that we als
have running.
Although it isn't required on our "working" domain....I have trie
setting the view options on users, computers and conatiners a
containers. I have tried editing the group policy to specificall
enable publishing of printers and to disable the pruning of printers.
I have tried setting the default search path in the users/contro
panel/printers section of the group policy object. I have trie
unpublishing and republishing the printers from the directory. I hav
tried installing other printers on the second domain controller with n
improvement.
I have searched all the postings, microsoft support and the web fo
someone with a similar issue and no luck so far. If anyone has som
suggestions I'd really appreciate a heads up. Feel free to reiterat
some of the things I've already tried if you think it might help.
Thanks all
