can't find my emails

i recently reinstalled outlook and when i set up my email accounts to work
with my old pst folder, everything appeared to work except that when i
receive emails, they are nowhere to be found. it says theyre receiving them
but they dont go into the inbox. i have searched everywhere and cant find
them.
