Outlook 2003
I have moved my .pst file from one computer to another. I then updated to
Office 2003. Unfortunately I didn't realize I already had another .pst file
in another location. I deleted the old .pst.

Outlook finds the new .pst file however when I create a new email the "TO"
button doesn't find my contacts . How do I get this back?

Hi Ron,

For personal users who do not have an Exchange Server, Outlook data is stored in Personal Folder files (*.pst). Outlook uses Personal Folder files to store Information such as
messages, contacts, calendar, etc. If I understand your questions correctly, you deleted your previous Outlook .PST file, which means that you also lost your contacts with it. If I have
misunderstood your situation please let me know.

Please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles to learn more about backing up the Outlook data and Office program settings.

Your article should be clear about what data exporting and importing loses,
like Distribution Lists and the link between Contact birthdays and the
Calendar, but it's not.

Amazing!!! I tried this earlier using your answer to another post. It didn't
work. Using the info from this post, IT WORKED. Go figure... Thanks Russ

I never recommend this article to users. No one should export or import
Outlook data until Outlook is able to do so correctly and reliably.
