I hit the start up menu, then go to all programs, and I can't find microsoft works anywhere. Any suggestions?

Works is a separate program, it is not part of Windows XP nor any other
operating system. If you have not bought and installed it, it will not be
there.

If you have Works installed (check Control Panel\Add Remove Software) you
shold post your question to microsoft.public.works.win

Microsoft® Works Task Launcher
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\msworks.exe"

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works

Have you purchased and installed it? It won't magically appear by
itself.
