i cannot find the games that are included with Windows...Solitaire, Free
Cell, etc. The Games folder is empty and is not in the games and
entertainment folder. I am running Windows XP SP2...i tried uysing the
add/remove windows component feature in the add/remove program feature but it
doesn't work...i have tried using the Windows XP disc but since i have SP2
the disc won't update...
is there a way to re-download these or someplace else that i can look for
them on the computer

Have you look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Games? If yes, you can find each game in
C:\Windows\System32 Folder. Rt click on each one and choose send to
desktop as shortcut. Then create a new folder
move all the shortcuts into it. This is time consuming.

When you say Add/Remove Windows Components, don't work ... what do you mean.

When Windows Components comes up, and after you click on Accessories, Games
.... what is checked/unchecked?

Did you install this system? Is it Home or Business? Are you the Admin?

SP2 should not prevent you from ADDING Games. You need the original Windows
XP disk, if the Games are not resident on your system.

Do you have a C:\i386 folder or C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder?

I am having the same problem and cannot find my windows games I have done
what you have suggested and still cannot find them. It says that my games
file is empty. What can you suggest please.
