Can't find Agere modem driver

Hi everyone,

I looked all over (no help from agere.com), and I can not find how to update
my driver for my Agere Systems PCI Soft Modem. The driver at agere.com says
it won't work on the PCI soft modem. I have xpsp2 home edition. I googled
quite a bit,and couldn't find anything either. Went to modem ng's list, and
all I found was garbage.

Please help. Thanks...Pete
 
Dolphin...I already have version 2.1.56.0 (dtd 6/30/05) which is later than
the one you listed. Thanks anyway...Pete
 
Thanks Brian...I have no make or model number. The only info in device
manager is "Agere systems PCI soft modem" like I said. My driver is
2.1.56.0 (dated 6/30/05). I found several drivers for the PCI soft modem in
the site you gave me, but the latest one was still 2.1.56.0, but it was
dated 11/4/05, but its probably the same one since it was definitely labeled
2.1.56.0.

Download Everest Home Edition:

Create a new folder named Everest and extract the contents of the download to
that folder.
Open the folder and double-click everest.exe to run the application.

Brian...you lost me here. What do these sites have to do with finding an

I'm not Brian, but I can answer your question.The software suggested
will tell you the make and model of your modem and a lot of other
info about your PC.
