Nor can I get to the MSN.com page....
When I try to go to www.hotmail.com, the browser hangs for 10-20 seconds and
then it takes me briefly to the "page cannot be displayed" message and
redirects to that ultra-annoying Almighty Search page
(http://xml.overture.com/d/search/p/igetnet/html/domainlander/?Keywords=www.
hotmail.com%2f)
I have IE 6.0 running on win2k professional. I have not added any software
or made any changes to the system. I searched on google to see if i could
find someone with a similar problem, but none of their remedies worked...
Here's what I tried:
-I cleared my visited-pages history
-deleted any cookies that could have been relevant
-Made my "advanced" settings in IE Internet Options EXACTLY the same as my
buddy's (who confirmed that, on his, he had no problems accessing hotmail)
-rebooted
In 'About IE', Cipher strength does show 128.
Also, if I do a search on Google using search term: hotmail.com, I get this
single result:
Sign-in Access Error

OK, the JS doesn't support/disabled is total BS; I see rollovers on other
pages just fine.
I still get these same google results after the different things I tried to
fix it.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
