I have a field in a table that has a Short Date format
with an Input Mask: 99/99"/03". The dates we are trying
to enter are "03" dates but they are automatically being
changed to 2004. What's going on and how can I still
enter them as "03"?? Had no problems before the start of
the year. Thanks!

Just because you've put a literal in your input mask doesn't mean that it's
going to get picked up as data. I suspect the only reason it worked last
year is because Access was adding the current year to your input, just as
it's doing now.

I don't believe there's any reliable way to enter only month and day, and
have it correctly identified as a date.

Enter it into an unbound textbox, calculate the appropriate date, then plug
that into the date field, behind the scenes?

Yeah, you're right, that would work.
