I have a problem viewing certain embedded pics on websites and using one of
my chat programs. In the troubleshooter for my chat program, it suggested
that I visit a link to microsoft's site where it described my problem as
disable style sheets. My problem is that I can't fix it in the edit
registry because the value i need to change isn't there. Does anyone have
any ideas? This problem is driving me crazy!

In the Internet Options control panel (Tools=>Internet Options menu) , on
the General tab, press the Accessibility button and uncheck the option to
"Format documents using my style sheet"

Thanks for responding, unfortunately this option is already unchecked.
Hoping someone has more ideas?!?

Avoiding the obvious, is your style sheet intact?
Inastall this one to C:\windows with Accessibility Options Enabled.
