Hey guys, I recently had a wicked virus that got through 2 firewalls, and
alll of Microsoft's security, I got the virus cleared, but once done, windows
popped up a window telling me I had to re-activate windows.

I attempted to do so , as I had only 3 days, and when I tried , i got a
"can't activate, because local scripting disabled" error message. I've
tried everything, and am noe down for the count, and can only access my puter
in safe mode, from which I cannot activate windows.

I'm totally frustrated and cannot get scripting enabled....Before you point
the stupid finger at me, YES, I went into options and security and all of the
custom levels say that scripting is enabled, believe me, I looked there.

I know a lot of you guys and gals are whizzes at this, can someone help me
with this before I wipe out my ENTIRE hard drive and start over?

Thanks in advance! Have a good one!!

Dan.

THANK YOU DOUG!!

This took care of ONE problem, but once I got this fix done, I had another
problem, I am now getting a Subsystem Spooler error, and have none of my
programs or internet starting up, can you help with this as well?

I can't thank you enough for your help thus far, wish I could return the
favor somehow.

Dan.

Can you provide the specific details of the error message, and when its occurring?

I'll try to....... What I am geting is a "Send Error Report" window, stating
that Subsystem Spooler has encountered an error and will shut down, or
something to that effect...I am trying to get it to pop up again.....

Ok, This is exactly what it says -

Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We're
sorry for the inconvenience

Details are -

szAppName:spoolsv.exe szAppVer:5.1.2600.0 szModName:ntdll.dll
szModVer:5.1.2600.0 offset:00028bl9

Does any of that help?

Dan.
