Double-click to activate the chart. Right-click the legend and select
Format Legend. On the Font tab, decrease the size of the font.

Or you can drag the handles on the legend (they become available when
you select the legend) and resize the legend.

What Echos said....but also "probably best to turn off the "auto scale" thing on the font menu

Oh, yeah, good point. Thanks, TAJ!
(I always turn that off. Totally forgot to mention it.)

It does have its place.......turn off!

No seriously...it is sometimes useful up to a point.....

maybe if it had a % or min and max feature

e.g. I want it 20pt....the smallest you can make it is 16pt or the largest is 24pt

Or I want it 20pt...min 20% smaller max 20% bigger.

If you find this suggestion useful...email it to ms wish please...
