Can't edit import spec?

We have an import spec that imports three fields from a csv file, works fine.
We need to add a fourth field. Going to Import and then Advanced and
pulling up the spec, I have added the field, clicked "Save As" and it
immediately drops off the field I just added. I can't save it as itself,
can't save it as something else, and can't delete it.

How can I change this???
 
Start the manual import of the .csv file with the four fields. Click
Advanced button in the wizard window -- you should now see the four fields
in the list. Save the specification as the current name to overwrite it.
