Can't download

Some websites won't let me download files, saying that I
must use a browser that supports "referrer reporting".
What does this mean, and can I configure Internet
Explorer 6 to allow referrer reporting. Or, is this an
operating system configuration? I'm running XP-Pro.

Craig,
Most likely it's a Firewall issue, usually ZoneAlarm Pro or NIS.
