When I try to get into Windows update I get "Page Cannot
Be Displayed" (Cannot Find Server) and I am not getting
automatic updates either. I was able to bring up the
Blaster Worm update and download, it would not install
due to "corrupt files". I have contacted my ISP who is
doing research. I have followed Microsoft Knowledge Base
Articles #241234 & #243787 to no avail. Any ideas? If
so please help:)

PS I am pretty computer illiterate but learning. All
knowledge appreciated.

Temperance;
It sounds like there is an ActiveX control missing
in IE. to restore your IE setting to the way they were.
follow these simple steps:
*In IE click "Tools"
*click the "Advanced" tab.
*click the box that says "Restore Defaults"
*Hit Apply
Also, you might want to clear your history and Cookies
Folders as well
*In IE click "tools"
*Under the genral tab; click "Delete Cookies"
it was say "Do you want to delete all the files from
your tmp internet folder?" click yes
* Right by it. click "Delete Files"
A box should come up. click yes to continue.
*Below that; you should see a Clear History button
click "Clear History" and select yes.
then hit apply.

In responce to your virus problem. I suggest going into
Windows safe mode. to get to windows Safe mode. Restart
you computer and hit F12 before your OEM's splash screen
comes up. a black screen will follow saying Windows XP
setup. click "Safe mode without Networking"

after this. Run your Anti-virus and install the patch.

if you have anymore questions. Please Email me.
