I am having the same problem!! If I try to download a file of any type from
the internet it does not show up on my pc. I click the download button, my
window pops up like normal asking me if I want to open or save the file, I
click save, I uncheck the "close this box when download completes" box so
that I can open the folder, I choose a destination and click ok. The download
starts and seems to finish but just as soon as it does the download window
closes and when I navigate to the folder where it should have
went.....nothing. Same thing happens when I try to open or view pictures in
my e-mail. I am using Windows XP Home Edition SP2 with Internet Explorer
6.00.2900.2180. I know its more than likely just a particular setting that
is not correct but I have fooled with this thing to my wits end!! Any advice
would be great!!
