Can't download MSN Messenger without Windows XP or later

Hi,

I'm trying to download MSN Messenger on my work computer to pass the
time away but I can't cause it says I need Windows XP or later. My
question is is there a way around this or can I download Windows XP for
free don't want my company being charged for anything or change or
affect anything you know? Please help.

What version of Windows are you using? There's a very for everything from 95 and above, you
just won't be able to use the most recent version.

Alternatively, you could use something else that supports Messenger like Miranda IM:
